We recently caught up with Office Suite Club member Holly Tonge. Holly told us about her training and consulting business Brightfinch. Holly’s business could not be more topical right now as she helps companies involved in international trade.
So tell us about yourself and what led you to set up in business ?
Having worked in customs and international trade for over 15 years, I felt it was time to set up a training and consulting company so I could be in complete control of how these services were delivered, and to provide opportunities for others to work in this field
What are the types of services that you you provide and what problems that you solve for your customers?
We help all companies involved in international trade, such as importers, exporters, forwarders, warehouses and ports. Typically our clients come to us as they are concerned with compliance issues, or want a more effective way of handling customs such as obtaining customs authorisations to suspend duties. We also provide training courses for those working in these areas who wish to know more.
Do you have any advice for Entrepreneurs who are starting out ?
Never underestimate the importance of good connections. I would have struggled without the support of numerous associates and colleagues. Especially in our line of work, a good network is a powerful tool.
