This past week we caught up with Stuart Anderson who tells us about his Data Protection and Compliance consultancy firm, XpertDPO. Stuart shares his tips for success as well as his favourite part of the city.
So tell us about yourself and what led you to set up in business?
I had just left a software startup and wanted to move in a different career direction.
What are the types of services that you provide and what problems you solve for your customers?
We provide a number of services around data protection and cybersecurity. We solve all of our client’s compliance headaches which allows them to concentrate on their core business.
Do you have any advice for Entrepreneurs who are starting out?
Talk to people. Network. Don’t be afraid to promote yourself. Meet people for coffee (pretty hard right now..), I have developed the best business relationships over a good coffee.
Share your hidden gem about Dublin
I love the area around Merrion square. Both of my boys were born in Holles Street and anytime I walk around Merrion Square I am reminded of the early mornings when I walked back to the car after they were born. Being an Englishman, I am now forever linked to the fantastic city of Dublin.
